... The Blue Hour ...

A Series in Three Portfolios

The Blue Hour is an ongoing series of black & white imagery whose subjects are connected more by mood than place. I have always been drawn to quiet corners and to things seen yet not-quite-seen in the periphery of vision. The Blue Hour, titled after that not-yet-light but not-still-dark time just before dawn, evokes the fleeting time of in-between where stars become flowers, a figure turns to shadow, and a stand of trees might call you toward a secret it’s keeping.

Images from The Blue Hour series are printed in a traditional wet darkroom on fiber-based silver gelatin paper, then toned in sepia and selenium. This edition of 10 is available matted, unframed, from $395. (image size 6x8.5”)
A small edition of larger pigment prints is planned.
