PORTFOLIOS AND PROJECTS

The Blue Hour, titled after the long suspended minutes before dawn, is a three-folio series of black & white imagery evoking the fleeting time of in-between where stars become flowers, a figure turns to shadow, and a stand of trees might call you toward a secret it’s keeping. VIEW THE PORTFOLIO

The images of Velvet Winter, taken mostly in Columbus Metroparks and their surrounding landscapes, began as a visual record of my experiences learning how to cross-country ski but soon evolved into a season-long photographic project. VIEW THE PORTFOLIO

With one exception, images in the Enchanted Kingdom series were made with an iPhone camera. While I don’t think twice about capturing everyday snapshots with my phone, it took a mental shift for me to use it as an artistic tool.

This personal project is an archived collection of blog posts and photographs that tell the story of a week spent observing stars at the MDM Observatory on Kitt Peak in Arizona.
